Privacy policy
Effective 4 November 2026. Applies to the DeltaF Studio
desktop app (all platforms and channels: GitHub releases, winget and the
Microsoft Store), the dfs command-line solver and the website
deltafstudio.com.
Summary
DeltaF Studio does not collect, store or share any personal data. It has no telemetry, no analytics, no update check, no advertising and no account. It works fully offline.
The app
- No data leaves your computer. The app does not connect to the internet. The only network action is opening a web page in your browser when you click a link (for example, the documentation or Help › Support DeltaF Studio); what that site collects is governed by its own policy.
- Local settings. The app saves its settings and
the state of the last session (the editor text, the path of the last
opened file, units, tables, plots and window layout) on your computer,
in your user profile (
%APPDATA%\dfstudioon Windows; for the Microsoft Store version, in the app's private storage, removed when the app is uninstalled). Projects are saved only where you choose. - Fluid properties. The bundled CoolProp library computes properties locally and does not use the network.
- Permissions. The Microsoft Store version runs as a
regular desktop program (
runFullTrust) so that it can open and save files where you choose. It does not use the camera, microphone, location, contacts or any other personal information.
The website
deltafstudio.com sets no cookies and runs no analytics or third-party scripts. It is hosted by Cloudflare Pages, which processes technical request data such as IP addresses to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, under the Cloudflare privacy policy. Downloads are served from GitHub (GitHub privacy statement). Optional payments are handled entirely by Stripe or GitHub Sponsors on their own sites; DeltaF Studio receives only what those services report to a payee, such as the payment amount and the payer's name and email.
Children
DeltaF Studio collects no data from anyone, including children.
